The Sports Edge Radio Show traces its roots back to January, 1997. In Ypsilanti, Michigan, while an undergraduate student at Eastern Michigan University, “Sports Edge Radio Show” founder “Dan the Man” Leach broadcast his first sports talk radio show. “Dan the Man” has been in sports broadcasting for over 10 years. Dan started his career calling basketball and football play by play on TV and radio while an undergraduate student at Eastern Michigan University. His first show was “The EMU Sports Spectrum”, a sports talk radio show that covered EMU sports, its athletes, and coaches.
Celebrity guests, athlete’s, coaches and listener’s alike all marvel and appreciate the interviewing skills that Dan Leach continues to develop and refine as he hones his craft. “Dan the Man” has won numerous awards, and will continue to attract attention as one of the more gifted up-and-coming talents in the sports broadcasting industry.
The “Sports Edge Radio Show” strives to be one of the most unique, high-energy, and listener friendly shows on today and is thrilled to be on the Sports Byline USA Broadcast Network.
Clifford Early, Co-Host
Clifford Early is the co-host the Sports Edge Radio show. Cliff has experience as public address announcer for both high school football and independent league professional baseball teams. Family, friends, and colleagues have long considered him a bastion of endless sports knowledge and useless trivia, yet corny, witty, and ridiculous.
Clifford is one of the few people who can begin to harness the sometimes uncontainable mischief of Dan Leach’s radio personality, “Dan the Man”. They have forged a strong bond since meeting in 2004, and have endured and grown through many challenges together.
