STUFF MAGAZINE’S RADIO SHOW DEBUTS

New York, NY (June 1, 2005) – Stuff Magazine will launch its first radio show, Stuff Sports on Saturday, June 4. The show will air live Saturdays from 10:00PM – 1:00AM (EST) in 200 markets nationwide via the Sports Byline USA Broadcast Network (including New York, Chicago, Philadelphia, Boston, and Miami). Stuff Sports will also be heard on Sirius Satellite Radio channel 122.

In the past eighteen months the editors of Stuff magazine have worked hard to distinguish itself from its massively successful sibling, Maxim magazine, the nation’s best selling men’s lifestyle publication. Stuff was originally launched in Europe as a toys for boys magazine and Stuff in the US has moved towards that original incarnation. With editorial sections such as Gearotica, Hype, Celebrity Inventory, the Hit List and Stuff Style, Stuff magazine has evolved into the nations best selling product and entertainment magazine for men with single copy sales of the magazine up double digits. This new editorial mix has been embraced by readers across the country, and now Stuff is taking this new and compelling content to radio.

"We are very excited to launch Stuff Sports which will take content from the magazine and combine it with the most interesting sports program around creating something truly unique. Stuff Sports will cover products, entertainment, movies, sports, cars and girls; all the things that really matter in a guys life” said Barry Pincus, Director of Brand Development for Dennis Publishing Inc.

“We are very excited to be in business with Dennis Publishing and the very talented people at Stuff. This significant brand is well targeted to our radio audience and we believe its entertaining content will translate sensationally to the radio medium. Stuff subscribers and readers are a directly compatible demographic to our Radio X Network audience,” said T. Joseph Coleman, CEO of the Sun Network Group. Radio X will produce the weekly show.

The program will be hosted by Joe Spano and Bob Black from studios in New York and will welcome guests from the sports world along with guests from other walks of life. The hosts will also take listener phone calls.

Spano is a veteran of the New York sports scene. A walking encyclopedia of sports knowledge and the proud owner of a unibrow, Joe has worked for the Long Island Ducks baseball team as a color analyst and reported on the Mepham High School scandal on the “Dave Weiss Morning Show” on WLIE.

Bob Black is a native New Yorker, who has traveled the country as a professional actor and stand-up comedian. He is also an award-winning reporter and photographer who has worked for NBC, and had had his work appear on the “Today” show. Having extensive stage and television experience has led Bob to the next logical step of radio; once you see his face, he knows you will agree with his move.
